High functioning anxiety can be exhausting because it forces you to appear fine on the outside while your brain is racing nonstop inside. The feeling of having no appetite and struggling to sleep intensifies these moments, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed by overthinking every little detail. What helped me was recognizing that it's okay to seek support, even if it feels uncomfortable or difficult. Sometimes reaching out to a friend or writing down your thoughts can provide relief. Mindfulness exercises and breathing techniques also offered me brief breaks from the constant mental noise, allowing me space to reset. It's important to remind yourself that setbacks are part of the journey and not a sign of failure. Over time, I've learned to be kinder to myself and practice patience. While a hug can be comforting, developing internal coping skills creates a more durable sense of calm. Sharing experiences like this helps others understand they're not alone, and that healing and managing anxiety is possible with both support and self-compassion.
