Hey everyone! I’m so excited to share more about the journey of bringing our new doggy suites to life for Tails & Trails. You know, when we decided to expand our boarding and training facility in Cottageville, WV, the idea of 'portable building dog kennels' really stood out to us. Why portable? Well, for one, it offers incredible flexibility. These aren't your average, flimsy setups; we're talking about robust, pre-fabricated style structures that can be assembled efficiently, saving a ton of time compared to traditional construction. It meant we could get our furry guests settled into their new homes much faster! From the get-go, our focus was on creating safe, comfortable, and hygienic environments. We looked at so many options before settling on a design that incorporates light wooden walls, giving each suite a warm, inviting feel. You can even see some of the wooden walls going up in the photos – it's amazing how quickly they transform the space! We paired these with strong, black metal bars for the kennel fronts, ensuring maximum security without making the dogs feel caged in. It's all about balance, right? One of the biggest considerations for any dog kennel, especially a commercial one, is the flooring. We opted for a durable concrete floor. It's not just easy to clean and sanitize – which is crucial for preventing germs – but it also provides a solid, stable foundation that lasts. We'll be adding comfortable bedding and elevated cots, of course, but having that easy-to-maintain base is a game-changer. Looking at the progress, with tools laid out next to the developing suites, it’s clear a lot of thought and effort is going into every detail. Good ventilation is key for air quality, and access to natural light makes a huge difference to a dog's well-being. We’ve designed these 10 suites to maximize both.
