... Read moreHi everyone! It's Autumn Ivy here, and I'm so thrilled you're joining me. You’ve just had a quick peek into my world, and now I want to dive a little deeper and share what truly makes my heart sing. Think of this as your free 'starter pack' to my favorite things – a collection of inspirations to brighten your day and perhaps spark some joy in your own life! First up, let's talk about my absolute love affair with coffee. Yes, I'm a self-proclaimed Coffee Addict, and there's nothing quite like that first rich, aromatic sip in the morning. For me, it's not just a drink; it's a ritual, a moment of calm before the day begins. If you're looking to elevate your home coffee experience, try investing in a good quality burr grinder – it makes all the difference! My personal go-to is a dark roast, brewed in a French press, with a splash of oat milk. Occasionally, I love experimenting with seasonal lattes; a homemade pumpkin spice latte in the autumn is pure bliss. What's your go-to coffee order? Next on my list of obsessions is Halloween! It's not just a holiday; it's a whole season of magic, mystery, and cozy spookiness. I absolutely adore decorating, and I always aim for a blend of charmingly eerie and wonderfully whimsical. Think twinkling fairy lights intertwined with faux spiderwebs, antique-looking lanterns, and plenty of plush velvet pumpkins. Don't forget the scent – cinnamon and clove candles are a must! For a super easy and free DIY, gather some fallen leaves and press them, then string them up to create a beautiful, natural garland. And of course, a good Halloween movie marathon (Hocus Pocus, anyone?) is essential. Moving on to something a bit more literary, you might know I'm a huge fan of Jane Austen. Her wit, keen observations of society, and timeless romances never cease to captivate me. If you’re new to her work, I always recommend starting with 'Pride and Prejudice' – it’s a classic for a reason! But don’t stop there; 'Persuasion' is incredibly tender, and 'Emma' is wonderfully clever. Reading Austen transports me to a different era, full of elegant manners and profound emotions. There are so many fantastic film adaptations too; the 1995 BBC 'Pride and Prejudice' mini-series with Colin Firth is iconic, of course! Finally, and perhaps most importantly, is my passion for creating Cozy Homes. There’s nothing better than coming back to a space that feels like a warm hug. My philosophy for coziness involves layering textures: soft throws, chunky knit blankets, and an abundance of pillows. Lighting is key – think warm, ambient lamps rather than harsh overhead lights, and plenty of candles (scented or unscented, your choice!). I also love incorporating natural elements like wood, plants, and fresh flowers to bring a sense of tranquility indoors. Don't underestimate the power of a good book nook with a comfortable armchair! I hope this little 'free pack' of my interests gives you a better sense of who I am and inspires you to explore your own passions. What are some of your favorite cozy home tips, or perhaps your go-to Halloween tradition? Let's connect and share our cozy, creative worlds!
