ช่วงหลังสงกรานต์ สิ่งที่ผมรู้สึกชัดเจนคือความจำเป็นในการใส่ใจเรื่องสุขภาพและความปลอดภัยอย่างต่อเนื่องแม้เทศกาลจะผ่านไปแล้ว โดยเฉพาะโรคเมลิออยด์ที่ผมเองไม่เคยรู้จักมาก่อนเลย แต่พอได้อ่านข่าวนี้แล้วรู้สึกว่าน่ากังวลมาก เพราะเป็นโรคติดเชื้อที่เกิดจากแบคทีเรียในดินและน้ำ ซึ่งเฉพาะกลุ่มที่ต้องทำงานกับดินหรือน้ำเป็นเวลานาน เช่นเกษตรกร มีความเสี่ยงสูงสุด การสังเกตอาการไข้สูงเฉียบพลัน ปวดกล้ามเนื้อ หรือมีแผลเรื้อรังแล้วรีบไปพบแพทย์ได้ทันท่วงที ถือเป็นเรื่องสำคัญมาก ส่วนเรื่องอุบัติเหตุในช่วง 7 วันอันตรายของเทศกาลสงกรานต์ ยอดสะสมอุบัติเหตุและผู้เสียชีวิตก็ยังน่าเป็นห่วงมากครับ โดยผมอ่านแล้วรู้สึกว่าการมีสติขณะขับรถเป็นสิ่งที่ทุกคนต้องทบทวนและปฏิบัติอย่างเคร่งครัด ไม่ว่าจะเรื่องขับรถเร็วหรือดื่มแล้วขับ เพราะผลกระทบจากอุบัติเหตุบางกรณีไม่ใช่แค่ความเจ็บปวดเฉพาะตัว แต่ยังสร้างภาระค่าใช้จ่ายรักษาพยาบาลมหาศาลที่อาจทำลายการเงินครอบครัวได้เลยทีเดียว อีกหนึ่งเรื่องที่ต้องระวังคือโรคตับอักเสบเอ ที่กำลังระบาดในพื้นที่กรุงเทพฯ ชลบุรี ระยอง และจันทบุรี ผมขอเน้นย้ำถึงการยึดหลัก “สุก ร้อน สะอาด” ซึ่งผมเองก็พยายามเลี่ยงอาหารดิบและล้างมือบ่อยๆ เป็นนิสัย นอกจากการป้องกันตนเองแล้ว ยังช่วยลดโอกาสในการแพร่เชื้อไปยังคนรอบข้างได้อีกด้วย จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว การมีประกันสุขภาพและประกันอุบัติเหตุเป็นสิ่งที่คุ้มค่าและช่วยให้รู้สึกอุ่นใจมากขึ้นเมื่อต้องเผชิญกับเหตุไม่คาดฝัน เพราะไม่ใช่แค่เรื่องค่าใช้จ่าย แต่ยังช่วยให้มีโอกาสได้รับการรักษาที่ดีและครบถ้วนโดยไม่ต้องกังวลเรื่องเงินทุน และนอกจากนี้ การดูแลสุขภาพและมีความรู้เรื่องโรคภัยต่างๆ ก็เป็นการลงทุนที่สำคัญ ที่ช่วยลดความเสี่ยงและป้องกันปัญหาสุขภาพในระยะยาวได้ด้วยครับ
