Learning to love yourself is a tremendous hurdle when you've been born into a religion that teaches you that you are nothing but a filthy rag and the rules were stacked against your humanity. I am finally being convinced that I don't have to perform to be accepted, honored or loved. This idea that my existence is enough is growing on me.
