I need to chill on turret diving 😅😅😅#wildrift #leaugeoflegends
Oh boy, if there's one thing I've learned the hard way in both League of Legends and Wild Rift, it's the art (or rather, the folly) of Tower Diving. My initial post was a quick confession, but honestly, this topic deserves more than just a few emojis! I've had my fair share of "You have slain an enemy!" moments after a daring dive, feeling like a total pro. But let's be real, those are often overshadowed by the times I've ended up staring at a grey screen, wondering why I thought that was a good idea. What even is turret diving? It's basically when you attack an enemy champion under their tower's protection. The appeal is obvious: securing a kill, denying gold and experience, and snowballing your lead. But the risks are massive. That tower hits *hard*, especially early game, and if you miscalculate, you're just feeding the enemy. I've learned to respect the 'Personal Space' around those turrets! So, when should you really consider a dive, and more importantly, when should you absolutely *not*? When to Think Twice (or Thrice!): Low Health: This is a no-brainer, but adrenaline can make you blind! If you're not full or near full HP, the tower damage will melt you. No Minion Wave: Minions are your shield! Without them, the tower targets you directly, and that's usually a death sentence. Missing Enemy Jungler/Mid: A successful dive often turns into a double kill for the enemy if their teammates rotate. Always check your mini-map! No Escape Tools: Did you just use Flash or your champion's dash ability? Probably not the best time to commit to a deep dive. **When a Dive Might Be Okay (Proceed with Caution!): Huge Minion Wave Pushing: The more minions, the more tower shots they absorb, buying you precious seconds. Enemy is Super Low HP: Sometimes, securing that kill is worth the trade, particularly if they have a bounty or are a key carry. Team Coordination: This is key! If you have "ome tower ding pals" – your jungler, support, or even mid-laner – joining you, a dive becomes much safer. They can absorb shots, CC the enemy, and help burst them down. Knowing Your Champion: Some champions are much better at diving than others due to their sustain, shields, or mobility. Understand your limits! I can't tell you how many times I've had to "Recall and return to the fountain to recover Health!" after a botched dive, kicking myself for my impatience. It's a fine line between aggressive playmaking and outright recklessness. My biggest takeaway? Communication with your team is paramount. If you ping your intent, your teammates can react, and you're less likely to go in alone against a fully stacked tower. Ultimately, while getting that "You have slain an enemy!" message after a successful Tower Diving** play feels amazing, not dying is usually even better for your team's overall gold and experience. So, learn from my mistakes, summoners, and try to chill on those dives... unless you're absolutely sure!
