TGIF Hoodoo Style- Release Restore Receive 🧘🏾‍♀️

✨ TGIF Hoodoo Style: Release, Restore, Receive ✨

The week’s been long, the spirits are tired, and your energy’s earned a rinse.

Fridays in Hoodoo aren’t just for unwinding—they’re for clearing your path and opening your hands to blessings.

Tonight, we clean it off, call it back, and claim what’s ours.

🕯️ 1. The Release

Light a white candle.

Write on a small piece of paper everything you’re ready to let go of—stress, conflict, self-doubt.

Say:

“I release what drains me. I keep what sustains me.”

Burn the paper in a fire-safe bowl. Let the smoke rise—let it go.

💧 2. The Restore

Prepare a spiritual bath or hand wash.

Add:

A pinch of sea salt (cleansing)

A few drops of Florida Water (renewal)

Rose petals or cinnamon (self-love and attraction)

As you wash, say:

“I am restored. My power returns to me.”

🌿 3. The Receive

Dress a green or gold candle with honey or oil.

Pray Psalm 23 or simply say:

“Goodness follows me. Abundance finds me. Favor surrounds me.”

Sit in gratitude. Let Spirit fill the space you just cleared.

🌙 Affirmation

“I end my week in peace,

I rise in power,

and I walk into my blessings with both hands open.”

... Read moreThe TGIF Hoodoo practice of Release, Restore, and Receive offers a meaningful way to end your week with spiritual cleansing and intention-setting. This ritual aligns well with traditional Hoodoo and rootwork practices that focus on spiritual wellness and personal empowerment. The Release step involves lighting a white candle and burning a written list of what no longer serves you. This act symbolizes freeing yourself from negativity, stress, and self-doubt, and it helps set the stage for emotional and energetic clarity. White candles are often used for purity and protection, heightening the cleansing effect. Next, the Restore step uses a spiritual bath or hand wash infused with cleansing ingredients like sea salt, Florida Water, and rose petals or cinnamon. Salt is known for purification in many traditions, Florida Water carries connotations of renewal and freshness, while rose petals and cinnamon attract love and positive energy. This bath connects you directly with self-care and self-love, reinforcing your spiritual boundaries and power. Finally, the Receive step invites abundance and favor by dressing a green or gold candle with honey or oil. Green represents growth and prosperity, while gold signifies wealth and success. Honey or oil adds a sticky, attracting quality to the ritual, helping to "stick" blessings to you. Reciting Psalm 23 or positive affirmations enhances your focus on gratitude and manifesting goodness. Incorporating these steps weekly not only honors Hoodoo traditions but also encourages mindfulness and intentional living. This practice transforms Fridays from just the end of a workweek into a sacred time for spiritual renewal. Through consistent engagement, it can foster resilience and invite continuous blessings into your life. Remember, Hoodoo is highly personalized; feel free to adapt ingredients or prayers to fit your spiritual path. Lighting the appropriate candles, carefully preparing spiritual baths, and speaking your affirmations aloud create deeper connections to the ritual’s power. This three-part process invites you to honestly release burdens, lovingly restore your energy, and confidently receive the positive forces that surround you. Embracing TGIF Hoodoo Style is an empowering way to transition into your weekend with peace, strength, and open hands ready to receive life’s blessings.
