New Food Review!!

So I got an email from Sonic today begging me to try the strawberry cream horchata before it was gone for good. I don't frequent Sonic, but I passed one on the way home and thought, "what the hell?"

My verdict?...

Not bad! the strawberry flavor was what hit me first. Not artificial either! As fresh as could be. Small pieces of strawberry swam throughout.

The texture was a frosty combination of icee and ice cream, but the part I was unsure about was the second flavor I tasted.

That was cinnamon. and I know what you're thinking, "Duh! It's horchata!" but I just didn't expect it to be as strong as it was in this drink.

I didn't know how I felt about it being mixed with the strawberry.

So I gave it a 6. It was okay! but I wouldn't go back for another, lol.

... Read moreSo, you're curious about Sonic's Strawberry Cream Horchata, huh? My initial review gave it a 6/10, but let's dive a little deeper into what makes this drink unique – and why you might still want to try it before it disappears! First off, for those who might not be super familiar with horchata, it's traditionally a creamy, often rice or nut-based drink with a distinctive cinnamon flavor. So, when I tried Sonic's version, the strong cinnamon kick alongside the fresh strawberry flavor was definitely a surprise! I think that's where my 6/10 score really came from – it's an adventurous mix, and not everyone might be ready for the spice blending with the sweet berry. What I did love was the strawberry itself. It genuinely tasted fresh, not artificial, and seeing those small pieces of real strawberry swimming in my Sonic cup made it feel like a premium treat. The texture is also worth mentioning – it's like a delightful cross between an icy slush and a creamy milkshake. Perfect for cooling down on a hot day! If you're a fan of unique flavor combinations and don't mind a prominent cinnamon note with your fruit, this could be your new favorite seasonal sip. It's definitely not your average strawberry drink or a plain horchata; it’s an experience. The fact that it's a limited-time offer adds to its appeal – you've got to try it to know if it's your jam before it's gone for good! My advice? Go in with an open mind. If you love both strawberry and cinnamon, you might just find this an unexpectedly delightful combination. Even though it wasn't a perfect 10 for me, I appreciate Sonic for trying something so unique. It’s a fun, frosty adventure for your taste buds, and who knows, maybe for you, the strawberry cream horchata will be a solid 10/10! Just remember, it's a limited-time special, so don't wait too long if you're thinking of grabbing one.
