Does anyone else get anxiety the day after drinkin

I get insane levels of anxiety after a night out. I am curious is this is common with anyone else?

Typical severe anxiety the day/s after about: “Was I too much?” “Did I make others uncomfortable?” Etc. Etc.

Even if I remember the whole night - doesn’t matter.

... Read moreAnxiety after drinking is a common experience that affects many individuals. The term 'hangover anxiety' describes the feelings of dread, concern, and even guilt that can arise after a night of drinking. Many people reflect on their actions from the previous evening, causing them to question if they were overly boisterous or made others uncomfortable. This cycle of self-reflection can lead to heightened anxiety, even if the night was enjoyable overall. Understanding that these feelings are shared can be comforting. It's essential to realize that you're not alone in your experiences. Engaging with community resources, such as online forums or support groups, can provide valuable insights and coping strategies. Some individuals suggest adopting self-care practices, such as hydration, mindfulness, and moderate exercise, which can help alleviate symptoms of hangover anxiety. Additionally, seeking professional help may be beneficial if the anxiety becomes overwhelming or persistent. Professionals can offer techniques and strategies tailored to managing anxiety effectively. Learning about your triggers and developing healthier coping mechanisms can improve your overall well-being post-drinking. Remember, communication and connection with others experiencing similar feelings can significantly help in navigating these emotions.

Yes I get anxiety after drinking. Alcohol is a depressant and it usually causes people to get anxiety after drinking. Anxiety, unchecked, and unmanaged, can lead to depression.
