Can you believe my landlord did this?!?
My previous apartment complex I just moved out sent me an invoice for damaged and dirty spots in the apartment, but the problem is that every single damage that they are charging me for, I noted in detail on my move in inspection. They are also charging me for really minor “dirt”, like some dust on the top of the ceiling fan and an empty target bag I forgot. I’m wondering, is there a law or something that prohibits them from charging me for the stuff I noted on my move in inspection? I want to know so I can let them know not to charge me for that, and also try to scare them into waiving the absurdly high cleaning fee to throw out a plastic bag and wipe off a ceiling fan blade.
