For a while now, I’ve been completely fascinated by the world of Invincible and the unique aesthetic of Fundamental Paper Education (FPE). I kept thinking, what if I could blend the raw power and emotion of Omni-Man with the distinct, almost minimalist style of FPE? That's how this fan art series was born. My goal was to capture the essence of Omni-Man's story – his immense strength, his devastating impact, and the sheer scale of the destruction he can cause – but filtered through a different artistic lens. You'll see scenes that echo some of the most iconic moments, starring a character in a striking red and blue superhero costume with a mask and cape, just like the original. Creating these pieces was such a journey. I started by sketching out key moments, thinking about how to convey motion and power with simpler shapes, embracing that FPE vibe. It was challenging to imagine the superhero character flying through a blue sky with impact, or showing a massive explosion with fire and smoke erupting over a dense urban city landscape, while still keeping it distinct. I really focused on the visual storytelling. You'll notice some other characters I designed to fit into this narrative, like the one with long white and light blue hair, wearing a dark outfit. Their surprised expression as an explosion occurs behind them near a building was a really fun detail to work on. And yes, I even included a character with scissor-like hands – a nod to the creative possibilities within this combined universe! The series progresses from triumphant scenes of the superhero flying over a sprawling city to the grim aftermath. I wanted to show the consequences, depicting a devastated city with ruined buildings and our hero standing among them, or even lying injured on the ground, covered in blood with a broken mask and damaged costume. It’s a powerful narrative arc, and I felt it was important to include the vulnerability alongside the invincibility. What do you guys think of this crossover concept? I'd love to hear your thoughts on my Omni Mark FPE fan art. Did I capture the spirit of both worlds? Let me know which image is your favorite or what other characters you'd love to see in this style!
