4. Generations of records in this Bible.

5. I believe in marriage ceremonies being intimate with your spouse and God.

6. A new marriage tradition from an old marriage tradition.

7. It’s sentimental that will be passed down for generations to come and hopefully my kids will have their marriage recorded in a family Bible.

Read moreWhen I decided to record my marriage in our family Bible, it wasn't just a spontaneous idea; it was deeply rooted in my belief that 'marriage should be honored by all,' a phrase that truly resonates with me from Hebrews 13:4. This verse isn't just a suggestion; it's a profound declaration about the sanctity of marriage in God's eyes. For my husband and me, honoring our marriage means placing God at the very center, acknowledging His design and purpose for our union. Thinking about 'marriage should be honored by all bible verse,' a few scriptures immediately come to mind that beautifully illustrate this principle. Genesis 2:24, where it says, 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh,' speaks to the profound unity and commitment. This 'one flesh' concept is truly beautiful – it’s about more than just a physical bond, it’s a spiritual and emotional joining, too. And then there's Ephesians 5:22-33, which gives us such clear guidance on how we, as husband and wife, can honor each other and, in turn, honor God through our roles. It talks about mutual respect, love, and sacrifice, all under the overarching love of Christ for His church. For us, recording our marriage in a physical Bible, much like the beautiful white King James Version Holy Bible often used for such records, felt like a powerful way to bring these verses to life. It’s a tangible symbol of our commitment before God. It's not just about signing a paper; it's about inscribing our sacred covenant into the very book that guides our lives. Proverbs 18:22 reminds us, 'He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.' This verse fills me with so much gratitude and reinforces the blessing that marriage truly is. Practically, 'honoring marriage' in our daily lives means consistently choosing love, forgiveness, and communication. It means praying together, supporting each other's spiritual growth, and intentionally guarding our relationship against outside pressures. It's about living out the vows we made, not just on our wedding day, but every single day. Just as the Bible itself is a record of God's faithfulness, our family Bible, now holding our marriage record, becomes a testament to our commitment to His plan for us, and hopefully, a legacy of faith for our children and grandchildren. It’s a constant reminder that our marriage is a sacred trust, divinely ordained and worthy of all honor.
