Fav of the week: Love Came on a Moonlit Night 🌙

Not a bad week of reading! I’m trying to reread a story every week and I think Hold Over You counts because I had made it to like chapter 38 the first time lol. So I started it over and caught up. Does that count as a reread…? I’m gonna say yes lol. This week I’m rereading Honey Bear or maybe Pearl Boy (two opposite sides of the spectrum I know lol).

*You can find the full tags and descriptions on the official sites the stories are on! I condense both in order to save space 🫶🏼

... Read moreAs a devoted fan of BL manhwa, I find "Love Came on a Moonlit Night" to be a refreshing blend of romance and mythology that stands out among similar titles. The story revolves around a princess whose beauty rivals that of the goddess Aphrodite, prompting the goddess to send Eros to curse her. However, Eros inadvertently pricks himself with his own arrow, sparking an unexpected passion that complicates the narrative wonderfully. What intrigues me most is the series’ skillful balance of romance and political intrigue. The subtle hints of a love triangle—or perhaps a complex web of affection—keep readers guessing and invested in the characters’ fates. The artistic detail further enriches the experience, making each panel visually engaging and emotionally resonant. From my experience rereading different BL stories weekly, this manhwa offers a unique appeal. It combines supernatural elements with the royal drama, offering not just surface-level romance but a rich, layered story that delves into themes of fate, identity, and desire. The hidden identity and the curse provide an excellent backdrop that elevates the emotional stakes. For those exploring BL manhwa for the first time or looking for a new favorite, "Love Came on a Moonlit Night" delivers a captivating narrative with beautiful art and complex characters. It’s also worth checking out alongside other ongoing works like "Hold Over You" or "Honey Bear," which offer very different tones and themes but equally compelling storytelling. In conclusion, this title is a must-read for fans who appreciate a story with mythology-infused romance and richly drawn political intrigue. The ongoing nature promises more twists and developments, making it an exciting series to follow week by week.
