... Read moreBeing a stay-at-home mom during summer break really brings a unique set of challenges and joys. One of the biggest changes for me this summer has been stepping into the role of a football mom. It’s a new experience balancing my usual mom duties with the hustle of early morning practices, games, and cheering from the sidelines. I’ve found that staying active myself—running the same roads and trails—is not only a way to maintain my fitness but also helps me stay energized throughout the busy days. Running has become a form of mental escape and a time to reflect on the day ahead or behind me. Juggling summer break activities with the demands of parenting means setting a flexible schedule that accommodates downtime and fun. It’s also about embracing community support. Connecting with other parents, sharing the mom life experience, and supporting each other at sports events creates a sense of belonging and shared purpose. The transition into being a football mom adds a new layer to my identity, mixing pride and learning as I navigate the little victories and challenges of my child’s sports journey. If you’re in a similar position, my advice is to stay active, connect with others, and cherish these dynamic summers packed with growth, love, and family memories.
