Healing My Gut: Discovering My Gluten Allergy
Girl! I know maintaining a healthy gut is essential for overall well-being, but can be one of the hardest things to do. For years, I struggled with constant digestive issues, unable to pinpoint the root cause of my discomfort. It wasn't until I decided to take a blood test to identify potential allergies that I finally found the answer.
The results revealed that gluten, a common protein found in wheat, barley, and rye, was the issue behind my persistent health issues. So, my doctor told me I need to stop eating gluten completely. And let me tell you, the transformation was remarkable.
By cutting out gluten, I experienced a significant improvement in my gut health. The bloating, cramps, and fatigue that had plagued me for so long gradually disappeared. I felt more energized, focused, and overall healthier than ever before.
While the process of eliminating gluten from my diet required some adjustments (a lot), the benefits far outweighed the challenges.
If you find yourself struggling with gut-related issues, consider consulting with a healthcare professional and exploring the option of allergy testing. Identifying and addressing food sensitivities, such as gluten intolerance, can be a game-changer in improving your gut health and overall quality of life.
Remember, a healthy gut is the foundation of a healthy body!
So now, I eat mostly Whole Foods and don’t eat anything I’m allergic to anymore and I lost a significant amount of weight and felt better than I ever have before!
