You daily reminder that big girls are not only desirable, but we NEVER have to settle.
It's heartbreaking yet inspiring to see how society still tries to dictate what beauty and desirability should mean, especially for big girls. I've often faced moments where people imply that we should be grateful just to be noticed or loved — that somehow, being bigger means lowering our standards. But this couldn't be further from the truth. When I started embracing my size and genuinely believing in my worth, I realized that desirability isn’t about conforming to narrow ideals; it’s about owning your confidence and refusing to settle for less than you deserve. I've even encountered critics accusing advocates like us of "convincing" fat girls they are desirable. Honestly, that accusation validates the positive impact of this movement. It means we are challenging outdated, fatphobic standards and encouraging self-love, which is so needed. Every time we remind ourselves and others that big does not mean undesirable, we help break down harmful stereotypes. From personal experience, practicing daily affirmations and surrounding myself with people who celebrate and uplift diverse body types has transformed my mindset. It’s so important to reject messages that make you feel less than. Remember, desire comes in all shapes and sizes — your worth and attractiveness are absolute. Never settle, no matter what society tries to tell you.
