Let’s talk cozy spaces and mental health. 🧠✨

A few weeks ago, I had a tough but important appointment with a psychiatrist. After 20+ years of trauma around psych treatment (and a lot of fear around meds), I made the decision to really commit to healing — even if that meant trying something new.

She prescribed a medication I had never taken before, and honestly? I was terrified.

But something wild happened: the past two weeks have been some of the best I’ve had in years. I’m slowly starting to feel joy again — the kind that had been missing for a long time.

This cozy little corner in my house — the drink station, the records — it’s the first time in 6 years that I’ve had the energy and care to make this space feel like me. It’s a small thing, but it means everything.

The change snuck up on me. I didn’t even realize it was happening until I looked around and felt…okay. Maybe even good.

I’m cautiously optimistic. I’m proud of myself. And I’m grateful I faced one of my biggest fears and opened the door to something new.
