A NON SCALE SIGN That You’re Making Progress

I literally could not get my jeans up at the end of 2023...

I tried them on the other day and now they fit like a GLOVE now!

The thing is, I didn't think I was necessarily overweight or anything, I just knew things are a bit tighter over the holidays which is totally fine!! I have been super consistent with my habits this year and it is SHOWING. I've only really been focusing on 3 things.

I have been making an effort to get quality sleep. This means both enough sleep and good quality, not interrupted throughout the night, etc. I have been consistent with my weight lifting program. I follow the alive app and have completed two Legs Get It programs, and am onto my third right now. I take a week off in between each program! Lastly, I have been aiming for 130 grams of protein each day. Of course I miss it some days! But protein intake makes a huge difference in your diet. It also helps you eat less junk!

... Read moreTracking progress in your fitness journey doesn't need to revolve around the scale. Instead, focus on how your clothes fit and other non-scale victories. As you commit to habits like prioritizing quality sleep, sticking to a consistent weight-lifting program, and ensuring adequate protein intake, you'll likely notice your clothes fit better without losing weight. Moreover, quality sleep is not only essential for recovery but can improve your overall well-being. Pairing this with a structured exercise routine, such as targeted weight training programs, can enhance muscle definition and support metabolic health. Consuming enough protein, ideally matched to your body weight in grams, nourishes your muscles and helps curb junk food cravings, leading to healthier food choices over time. These holistic approaches emphasize well-being over mere numbers, demonstrating that fitness is a journey rather than a destination. Celebrate each step you take, as every effort leads to significant changes in body composition, performance, and self-confidence.
