Gargoyle Makeup 💄

Hey everyone! So many of you asked about my adorable gargoyle makeup, and I'm so excited to share some more details on how I brought this look to life! It really was super fast and easy, making it perfect for a last-minute costume or just a fun creative session. First off, getting that signature grey skin was key. I started with my Mehron CreamBlend Sticks in Monster Grey, which is amazing for full coverage. I applied it all over my face and neck, making sure to blend well. For the darker areas and contours, I used the black CreamBlend stick – think under the cheekbones, around the temples, and jawline to give that chiseled, stony gargoyle effect. The white CreamBlend was perfect for highlighting, especially on the bridge of my nose and brow bones, to really make those features pop against the darker contours. For the textured detailing you might have noticed, I actually used some of the darker shades from the Paradise Makeup AQ 30 Color Pro Palette. A small, stiff brush helped me dab and smudge little lines and dots, creating an almost cracked stone texture. This really elevated the whole look from just grey skin to something more authentic to a gargoyle. Don't be afraid to experiment with different shades of grey and even a touch of brown for depth here! Now, let's talk about the eyes – truly the soul of this monster! I went for dramatic dark eye makeup using a deep black eyeshadow, blending it outwards into a smoky wing. This gives a mysterious, almost ancient feel. And yes, the black contact lenses added that extra, eerie touch that really transforms the gaze. If you're comfortable with contacts, they make a huge difference for creature looks like this! Of course, a gargoyle isn't complete without some iconic features. I added horns and elf ears to really sell the fantasy. You can find these at most costume shops or online. I blended the edges of the prosthetics with my foundation and then applied the grey makeup over them to make them look seamless with my skin. For the lips, a deep, almost black lipstick was the perfect choice to complete the dark, mystical vibe. This whole process from start to finish was probably under an hour, which is fantastic for such an impactful look. The Mehron products are super blendable and stay put, which is a huge plus. My biggest tip is to blend, blend, blend! And don't be afraid to play around with different textures and depths using your eyeshadows and water-activated paints.
