🗣 🗣 She can’t seriously expect the very people she helped harm to welcome her with open arms after she voted for that man three times and cheered on the damage for over a decade. When she was wearing that red hat, she wasn’t crying about unity — she was amplifying hate, policy by policy, lie by lie.
This isn’t about whether people are ready to hug her. It’s about whether she's ready to own what she supported.
Leaving the cult is step one. Deconstructing the racism, the Christian nationalism, the cruelty she helped normalize — that’s the actual work. The backlash she's feeling isn’t persecution. It’s consequences. People are hurt. People are angry. And rightfully so.
Don’t ask for open arms. Do the work. Accountability comes before acceptance.
Leaving the cult is the headline. Dismantling what she internalized is the work. She doesn’t get applause for walking away from the fire she helped start — she has to help put it out. It’s not about a rebrand. It’s about education and repair.
