Marrakech Morocco cooking class 🇲🇦
I’ve been gone for a while because I’ve been traveling!! Can’t wait to update you all on my adventures!❤️
My recent adventure in Morocco was truly unforgettable, and while I’ll be sharing more soon, I just had to tell you about the incredible cooking class I took in Marrakech! Seriously, if you're looking for an authentic experience that goes beyond the usual tourist spots, this is it. I'll take an authentic cooking class in a foreign country with strangers over the club any day – and this trip proved me right! It wasn’t just about learning how to make tagine or pastilla; it was about connecting with the local culture, sharing stories, and tasting the heart of Morocco. But Morocco is so much more than just one city or one amazing class. If you're planning your own trip and searching for 'Morocco tourist places,' let me share some of my other top recommendations for truly immersive experiences. First, you absolutely must visit Fes. Walking through the ancient Fes el-Bali medina felt like stepping back in time. It’s a labyrinth of narrow alleys, bustling souks, and historic riads. Don't miss the Chouara Tannery – the sights and smells are something else entirely, a raw, authentic glimpse into centuries-old craftsmanship. I loved getting lost (literally!) and discovering hidden gems, from artisan workshops to spice stalls. It’s a place where you truly feel like you're experiencing a foreign country in its purest form. Then there’s the breathtaking blue city of Chefchaouen. Tucked away in the Rif Mountains, its azure streets and buildings are a photographer's dream. It’s much more laid-back than Marrakech or Fes, perfect for wandering, enjoying mint tea, and soaking in the serene atmosphere. I found myself chatting with locals, learning about their daily lives – those moments with 'strangers' often turned into the most memorable parts of my trip. It’s another one of those unique Morocco tourist places that offers a different kind of magic. And of course, no trip to Morocco is complete without venturing into the Sahara Desert. My camel trek at sunset and spending a night under a blanket of a million stars in a desert camp was utterly magical. It felt so far removed from anything I’d ever experienced. The vastness, the silence, the incredible hospitality of the Berber guides – it’s an experience that truly humbles you and makes you appreciate the raw beauty of our planet. This isn’t just a tourist spot; it’s an adventure for the soul. Finally, for a complete change of pace, consider Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. This charming port city, with its blue and white buildings and historic ramparts, offers a refreshing sea breeze and a vibrant arts scene. It’s a fantastic place to enjoy fresh seafood, watch the fishing boats, and even try your hand at kite surfing. The vibe is chill, creative, and totally captivating. It’s another authentic slice of Moroccan life, often overlooked by those sticking to the major cities. From the bustling souks and historic medinas to the tranquil blue streets and endless desert dunes, Morocco is packed with incredible 'tourist places' that offer so much more than just a photo op. Each destination I visited, much like my cooking class, provided an opportunity to delve deeper into the culture, meet incredible people, and create memories that will last a lifetime. I truly hope you get to experience the magic of this country for yourself!
