Choosing the right stateroom for a Disney cruise, especially on a brand-new ship like the Disney Treasure, can feel like a big decision! For our maiden voyage, my family and I opted for the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, specifically on Deck 9, midship. After experiencing it firsthand, I can confidently say it was an excellent choice, especially for those traveling with children or wanting extra space. What truly sets the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah apart, beyond the obvious stunning views from your private balcony, is its thoughtful design for families. Many staterooms on other cruise lines can feel cramped, but this room felt incredibly spacious. One of the biggest advantages for us was the split bathroom concept – having a separate toilet and sink in one area and a shower with another sink in a different area made getting ready in the mornings and evenings so much smoother. No more waiting! Plus, it genuinely can comfortably sleep up to five guests, which is fantastic for larger families looking to stay together. While we loved our verandah stateroom, it's worth considering other Disney Treasure stateroom categories based on your budget and needs. The Inside Staterooms are typically the most economical and still offer Disney's signature comfort and magical touches, often with a 'Magical Porthole' displaying real-time ocean views. Oceanview Staterooms offer a window to the sea without the private balcony. Then, of course, there are the Concierge-level staterooms, which offer premium amenities, dedicated services, and exclusive access to lounges and sun decks – a truly luxurious experience if you're looking to splurge. Each category has its unique charm and benefits, so it's all about what enhances your personal cruise experience the most. Thinking about the Disney Treasure deck plans is also crucial when selecting your room. Being midship on Deck 9 was perfect for us. We were centrally located, making it easy to access the dining rooms, the pools on the upper decks, and the kids' clubs without long walks. If you prefer quiet, you might look for rooms away from high-traffic areas or elevators. If you love feeling the ship's movement less, midship is often recommended. I also noticed some lovely themed rooms throughout the ship; while our stateroom had subtle Disney touches, the hallways themselves often featured intricate artwork and details that truly immerse you in the Disney story. Beyond the stateroom itself, the Disney Treasure amenities are, as expected, world-class. From the innovative dining experiences to the spectacular entertainment and themed pools, the ship offers something for everyone. Our stateroom became our little sanctuary, a comfortable base from which to explore all the magic onboard. The ample storage, including clever closet space and drawers, kept our family of four organized for the entire sailing. It truly enhances the overall Disney Cruise experience, making every moment, from waking up to a sunrise on your verandah to winding down after a day of adventure, feel special.
