A Course In Miracles Lesson 82
These are our review ideas for today:
(63) The light of the world brings peace to every mind through my forgiveness.
I once believed forgiveness was a private act between myself and another person. But I am beginning to see something different.
When I hold a grievance, it changes how I see everyone. The mind that carries resentment begins scanning for confirmation that the world is unsafe—the employer's hesitation, the caseworker's question, the moment someone pauses after hearing your story.
Every interaction becomes guarded.
But when I release a grievance, something shifts.
My mind becomes less defensive, and the people around me feel that difference.
Peace becomes transferable.
(64) Let me not forget my function.
Re-entry is full of distractions.
Schedules, paperwork, employment, housing, expectations. It is easy to mistake those responsibilities for identity.
But this idea keeps bringing me back to something simpler.
My real function is not managing circumstances.
My function is the way I see.
When I remember this, the external demands of the day stop feeling like threats.
They become situations where I practice the perception I am learning.
The light of the world brings peace to every mind through my forgiveness.
Let me not forget my function.
I am MovingStill.
