A Course In Miracles Lesson 90

Review II — Lessons 79–80

1. Let me recognize the problem so it can be solved.

🧩 (L79) The mind often searches everywhere for solutions except the place where the problem actually exists.

It blames circumstances.

Opportunities.

The past itself.

But ACIM teaches that the problem is always in perception.

Recognizing the real problem is the first step toward freedom.

2. Let me recognize my problems have been solved.

🧩 (L80) Once the mind sees that perception is the problem, it begins to see the solution is already present.

Peace does not depend on circumstances rearranging themselves.

It becomes available the moment the mind releases the interpretation that created the conflict.

Let me recognize the problem so it can be solved.

Let me recognize my problems have been solved.

I am MovingStill.

Often, we look outward—at circumstances, the past, or external events—for solutions, when the true problem lies in how we interpret these experiences. This lesson reminded me that the mind’s habitual blame and attachment to grievances obscure the immediate availability of peace. One of the most transformative insights I gained was the idea that problems are grievances cherished by the mind. When I genuinely forgive these grievances, which often means letting go of resentment or blaming thoughts, the so-called 'problem' dissolves, replaced by a miracle—an unexpected shift in perception that brings resolution and peace. In practical daily life, this means that instead of waiting for external conditions to change or for time to pass before things feel better, I can acknowledge that the solution exists now. Time doesn’t separate problem and answer; the miracle is already present. Accepting this has encouraged me to consciously shift my focus inward, to my mindset, rather than external circumstances. Applying this teaching has helped me overcome many emotional conflicts by realizing that the peace I seek doesn’t require changing others or situations but releasing my interpretations that cause conflict. It's like a mental reset where forgiveness becomes a powerful tool to heal. For anyone struggling with persistent challenges, embracing Lesson 90’s principle—that the problem is a grievance and the solution a miracle—is a valuable practice. By inviting forgiveness into your heart and recognizing the simplicity of salvation, you open yourself to healing that transcends time and circumstances.
