A Course In Miracles Lesson 178
I notice how often I search for reassurance while overlooking what has already been given.

Lesson 178
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.
🌿 Doubt has a way of narrowing my focus.
It directs attention toward what is missing.
What is uncertain.
What has not yet happened.
The mind begins searching for proof that everything will be okay.
The review lessons for today point in a different direction.
Not toward acquiring something new.
Toward recognizing what is already present.
🧩 (165) Let not my mind deny the Thought of God.
This lesson reminds me that truth does not become absent because I overlook it.
The obstacle is not distance.
It is denial.
🧩 (166) I am entrusted with the gifts of God.
This lesson reminds me that what God gives is not scarce.
The gifts are already present, waiting to be recognized and shared.
Together, these lessons reveal a Self that is not abandoned, deprived, or lacking.
A Self that remains connected to the Source of every gift it seeks.
Today I'm paying attention to where I assume something essential is missing.
Where I search outside myself for what may already have been given.
Not forcing certainty.
But becoming more willing to recognize what has always been available.
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.
I am MovingStill.
In my personal journey with A Course In Miracles, Lesson 178 has been a pivotal reminder of the power of shifting focus from what feels lacking to appreciating the abundance that is already present. Often, I found myself caught in doubt, anxiously searching for reassurance and proof that everything was okay. This lesson encourages us to perceive beyond the surface of uncertainty and to stop denying the essential Thought of God within us. One of the most impactful realizations from this lesson is understanding that the obstacle to peace is not really external distance or absence, but our own denial. When I reverted to denying the Thought of God, I drifted from my true self. But embracing that I am entrusted with the gifts of God helped me recognize that these gifts aren’t limited or scarce—they are abundant and always accessible. The affirmation "God is but Love, and therefore so am I" becomes a tool for healing the mind’s tendency to fixate on fear or lack. By practicing this daily, I gradually experienced less internal turmoil and more connection to the Source of every blessing I had been seeking outside myself. This lesson invites a gentle but profound willingness to accept spiritual truth over fear, fostering a sense of wholeness. Applying these insights in daily life meant consciously paying attention whenever I felt something essential was missing. Instead of reaching outward in anxiety or self-doubt, I practiced turning inward, acknowledging the divine presence and gifts already present within me. This shift reduced my mental clutter and opened a clearer channel for inner peace and gratitude. From my perspective, Lesson 178 serves as a powerful reminder that spiritual progress is less about acquiring something new and more about recognizing the eternal gifts bestowed upon us. It’s a call to accept love as our true nature and trust that our needs are met perfectly, inherently, through that divine connection. Embracing this truth has empowered me to navigate challenges with a more peaceful, grounded heart.
