A Course In Miracles Lesson 212

I notice how often I create purposes for my life that leave me feeling exhausted instead of free.

Lesson 212

I have a function God would have me fill.

🌿 My mind is always serving something.

Sometimes it serves fear.

Sometimes it serves approval.

Sometimes it serves the endless pursuit of control.

Today's lesson gently reminds me that only one purpose brings lasting freedom: the one God has already given me. I don't have to invent it. I only have to become willing to accept it.

🧩 Every time I release a purpose that was never truly mine, another piece of the puzzle falls into place. My life becomes less about striving and more about faithfully living the function already placed within me.

Today I'm paying attention to what is guiding my choices. Instead of chasing purposes that leave me empty, I'm choosing to remember the one that always leads me toward freedom.

I have a function God would have me fill.

I am not a body. I am free.

For I am still as God created me.

I am MovingStill.

Read moreReflecting on Lesson 212 from A Course In Miracles reminds me of the crucial journey many of us face: moving from exhaustion caused by self-imposed goals to the liberation found in fulfilling our true divine purpose. I personally noticed patterns where I was chasing approval or control, only to feel drained and disconnected from myself. This lesson’s emphasis on recognizing that God has a specific function for each of us resonates deeply because it shifts the focus from striving to acceptance and trust. Living this teaching involves a daily practice of self-awareness. I find it helpful to pause whenever I feel pulled into fear or endless pursuing of external validation. Asking myself, "Is this purpose truly mine, or am I just reacting to external pressures?" opens a space for clarity. This internal questioning is not just an intellectual exercise but a spiritual one — it’s about peeling away illusions that cloud the freedom inherent within me. The OCR content from the lesson beautifully supports this by affirming, "I have a function God would have me fill" and "Only the function God has given me can offer freedom." These affirmations work as gentle reminders throughout the day, anchoring me back to what really matters: the authentic role I’m here to play, not one fabricated by societal expectations or fear. Over time, I’ve observed that embracing this lesson reduces anxiety and replaces tiredness with a quiet inner peace. It’s as if each false purpose released is a piece of the puzzle falling into place, exactly as the lesson states. The true challenge is remaining patient and trusting the process of unfolding rather than forcing outcomes. For those exploring spirituality or seeking meaning beyond material success, this lesson offers an accessible pathway to deeper peace. It invites us to stop competing against ourselves and simply live out the function that God or the universe has planned for us. This understanding transforms daily life into an expression of faith, where freedom is found not in what we achieve but in what we accept. Incorporating the insights of Lesson 212 has helped me reconnect with a sense of freedom and identity beyond the body or external circumstances—"I am not a body. I am free." This profound realization encourages a more compassionate and authentic way of living, reminding me that true freedom is available to all who are willing to let go and embrace their divine function.
