the taking of the church
so I wanted to look at this verse especially because the term it uses is taken. most people think abduction or disappearance. in this case most people forget about a very important word and I often hear this at funerals when somebody dies. "I don't understand why this person was taken from me". using that thinking look at this verse in the next verse it describes the birds eating the bodies of the dead of those who get TAKEN. birds eat dead people. if your body disappeared to heaven why would there be birds. the fact of this verse I want you to think about is this. you don't disappear you die. God takes your sould out of your body to the bema seat of christ for judgment and assignment of the new body mentioned in revelation. meaning millions of people will die without cause in one night as God takes his church. the old creation gets left behind so he can give you that new creation in heaven that new creation being the perfect holy body that we fight for here on earth every single day.
