Love is always an action
Obviously, the ultimate goal is to do life together! two broken people all in fighting the distractions together, not alone! #mrdigs34 #jesus #relationship #alone #love @K.k
You know, for a long time, I misunderstood what true intimacy really meant. Like many, I probably associated it mostly with the physical side of a relationship. But as I've grown and experienced more, I've come to a profound realization: intimacy isn't physical! It's so much deeper than that, and it's something we build every single day through our actions, not just our words or fleeting moments. I remember a time when I was going through one of my toughest periods. I felt completely overwhelmed, grappling with some really deepest hurts and what felt like deepest failures. In those moments, what truly mattered wasn't grand gestures or romantic dates. It was the quiet, consistent presence of someone who genuinely cared. It was the friend who listened without judgment, the partner who simply sat beside me, offering comfort and making me feel like my vulnerabilities were completely safe with them! That, to me, was the purest form of intimacy. It was the feeling of being truly seen, understood, and accepted, flaws and all. This experience really hammered home the idea that love is always an action. It’s not just a feeling that washes over you; it's a conscious choice and a continuous effort. It’s about actively showing up for the people you care about, especially when life throws its curveballs. It’s about being a reliable constant, a safe harbor in a storm. So, what does this 'love in action' look like in everyday life? It’s often the small, consistent things. It could be remembering a tiny detail about someone's day and asking about it later. It’s offering practical help when you see they’re struggling, even if they haven't asked. It’s about active listening – putting down your phone, making eye contact, and truly hearing what they’re saying, both verbally and non-verbally. For me, it’s also about creating that space where we can truly "do life together." This means facing challenges side-by-side, fighting the distractions together, and celebrating successes. It means offering encouragement when things are tough and being the first to cheer them on when they achieve something great. It’s a partnership where both individuals are committed to showing up, day in and day out. This kind of intimacy, built on genuine action, fosters a profound sense of security and trust. It moves beyond the superficial to create a bond that is resilient and deeply fulfilling. It’s about understanding that true Love isn't passive; it's vibrant, dynamic, and constantly expressed through what we do for each other. It’s about making someone feel valued, respected, and truly cherished, not just with words, but with undeniable, consistent actions that prove it.
