Must Try Spot for Dim Sum

2024/9/19 Edited to

... Read moreOkay, so I just had to share my recent discovery in Cerritos, CA – Lunasia Dim Sum! Seriously, if you're like me and constantly on the hunt for the best dumplings in town, you absolutely have to check out this hidden gem. I stumbled upon it recently and it's quickly become my go-to spot for an authentic and incredibly satisfying dim sum experience. Let's talk about the dumplings first, because that's what drew me in. Lunasia Dim Sum's selection is fantastic. Their Har Gow (steamed shrimp dumplings) are plump, juicy, and the wrappers are perfectly translucent – a true test of a great dim sum spot. And don't even get me started on their Siu Mai (pork and shrimp dumplings); they're packed with flavor and just melt in your mouth. What really stands out is the freshness. You can tell everything is made with care, right on the premises. I've tried a few places in Cerritos for dumplings, but Lunasia definitely takes the cake for quality and taste. But it's not just about the dumplings here. While you're there for those delicious bites, make sure to explore the rest of their menu. Their Cheong Fun (rice noodle rolls) are super silky, especially the BBQ pork one. And for something a bit different, their baked BBQ pork buns are sweet, savory, and have that amazing crumbly topping. I also love their turnip cake – perfectly pan-fried and savory. It's the kind of place where you want to order a little bit of everything to share, so you can truly get the full experience. The atmosphere at Lunasia Dim Sum is also really pleasant. It's usually bustling, which is always a good sign, but the service is efficient and friendly. It’s a great spot for a family meal, a brunch with friends, or even a solo treat when you're craving some comfort food. Finding a spot with such high-quality dim sum, especially a genuine hidden gem like this in Cerritos, CA, can be tough, but Lunasia absolutely delivers. A little tip for visiting: it can get busy, especially on weekends, so coming a bit earlier or later than peak lunch hours might save you a wait. Parking is usually manageable in the plaza. If you're in the 11510 South St C822 area, make a beeline for Lunasia. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you for discovering this fantastic spot for dumplings and more!
