There's something incredibly special about taking the time to sketch out the ones you love, especially our furry family members. Observe, Observe, Observe! This is probably the most crucial step. Spend time just watching your pet. My fluffy Mr. Happy has such distinct fur patterns, and Buck, my striped tabby cat, has these amazing stripes that tell a story. Notice their favorite sleeping positions, how their ears twitch, or the way light catches their eyes. If you wear glasses like I do, you might even find interesting angles to include yourself in the drawing! 3. Start with Basic Shapes: Don't jump straight into the details. Begin by lightly sketching the fundamental shapes of their body – circles for the head and chest, ovals for the body. This helps you get the proportions right before adding features.
