Motherhood challenges

Sometimes motherhood can be challenging. I decided to let my oldest help me fill our flower bed with flowers she picked out. We started around 1 and we had plans to go out for dinner with my parents around 4. I was nursing the youngest, my husband was helping with my oldest bath and getting her ready for the night as well as feeding and letting out our 4 fur babies after we finished the flower bed. I ended up heading out for the restaurant still looking like a hot mess. In the end it doesn’t really matter if I looked picture perfect. My kids won’t remember what I was wearing or if I had my hair fixed nice or in a bun. I know I’m feeding my baby boy and I had a great time with my baby girl planting our flower bed! That’s what my babies will remember 🩷🩵#motherhood #lemon8challenge

It involves managing numerous responsibilities, from caring for newborns to ensuring older children feel loved and attended to. On days filled with errands, dinner plans, and pet care, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. However, embracing imperfections and focusing on shared experiences can create memorable moments. Engaging in activities like gardening not only allows for bonding time but also teaches children about nature and nurturing life. These simple joys can outweigh feelings of stress and chaos, reminding us that children cherish moments of connection rather than perfection. It’s essential to remember that children are often less concerned about appearances and more about love and presence. Sharing stories and ideas in communities can provide support and inspiration for navigating the beautiful mess of motherhood together.

Things normalized in motherhood that aren’t normal

There’s a-lot more we go through that stays unsaid. We need to share more of those realistic moments and know we are all struggling in the same way, it’s sad that society has made these common and normalized in motherhood. It’s just another reason to believe that we are amazing.🩷
