Allow God to light your path 🙏🏼💗

God hit my heart today.

Me and my daughter were talking about the shadow from the early morning sun when I opened the curtain to my room. And she was asking about it and asked why it was there

These words came out of my mouth.

“The only time you see a shadow is when you’re standing in the way of the sun”

For my Christian friends and family on here.

..read it again.

You ONLY see a shadow, when YOU’RE standing in the way of the SON..”

Wow. I thought automatically.

God really said SAY IT AGAIN FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK 😅

I’ve been in a season where I’ve kind of been double minded I guess, and focusing more on the shadows. More than Gods plan and promise for my life. And I’ve caused that shadow, allowing the stress to over take, not reminding myself of his word, his promise and his provision, not staying consistently intimate with Him. It’s definitely been easier than it had been prior to my faith walk and I knew that was because of God. But I still allowed myself to focus on the dark parts a little too much.

I’ve been standing in the way of His light. Not putting it before me but behind me. Allowing myself to cast a shadow. A shadow of doubt, a shadow of fear, a shadow of uncertainty. Just recently have I got a fire sparked again and it feels amazing. I want to be on fire for God like I was 2 years ago. And He’s guiding me back. Simply saying

Don’t be the shadow that blocks Gods light from guiding you.

He wants the path you walk on to be full of His light. so you never walk and stay focused on that darkness. It’s so much brighter with HIM front and center.

I've spent a while praying for God to pull me back in... yesterday I did a Bible study that really helped me with that. No video, no music. Just reading and doing my own research on all of it. Really trying to see God character. And today I woke up and felt refreshed. And that was one of my first conversations (even if it's with my 4 year old daughter😅) God really took the first opportunity to put something on my heart.

... Read moreIn the journey of faith, understanding how to keep God's light in front of us can be transformative. Often, we let our worries and uncertainties overshadow the promises He has for us. Embracing the light means shifting our focus from our struggles to the guidance He provides. One powerful analogy to remember is that shadows only exist when we place ourselves between the light source and the object casting the shadow. Similarly, when we allow negativity and doubt to cloud our minds, we block the transformative light from God. The key is to actively seek intimacy with Him, reinforcing our relationship through prayer and worship, and focusing on His word. Spending time in prayer, reading the Bible, and engaging in personal reflections can reignite the passion for God that we once felt. Making space for quiet moments of connection can also lead to profound insights and a refreshed perspective on life. Being open to these experiences can help us recognize that we have the power to cast aside fears and doubts. Moreover, talking about these experiences with loved ones, like your children, can deepen understanding and create memorable moments of learning about faith together. Sharing our insights not only strengthens our relationship with God but can also inspire those around us to seek His light in their lives. Never underestimate the impact of simply expressing thoughts about faith—those conversations can ripple outward, bringing light to others who may be walking through shadows of their own.
