Hot Takes from a Girl Mom

•I’ve never used baby shampoo before

because it’s PH’d for the eyes!

Not the hair.

My five year old has had

at least 6 hair cuts to this day.

Each time her hair reaches her lower back.

•My girls will know the

biological names of their body

parts for informational and

protective purposes as early as they

can understand the topic

•Screen time can be good

and honestly a break for both of us

Screen time is not limited,

but un preferred activities come first!

Homework, clean up,

bed time routine, eating dinner at the table!

No eating is aloud in her room with the tv.

•My girls will never

be told they can’t play with trucks,

get dirty, or do “boy things”

if she wants dinosaurs and monster truck,

she gets them!

Just in *pink* when I can

•My girls will not be “forced” to

Only wear “girly outfits”

97% of the time it’s dresses.

Sometimes she likes camo and spider man fits 🤷🏻‍♀️

•I will be raising my girls

with Christian values.

She will know her worth, her identity

and her purpose before

going into a relationship.

•Showing up for myself

mentally, physically and emotionally

Teaches her it’s okay

to do so as well.

•I NEVER speak down

about myself while they’re

In a position to hear me.

I NEVER want my daughters to have

a negative self image

simply because I stated I felt “fat”

on one of my bad days

•My kids will not be forced

to hug you.

Even if you’re family.

If they say no and do not

feel comfortable at that time,

they will speak out and come to me if needed.

I will happily back them up!
