📚 VERY Late Book Haul 😅
This is a VERY late post 😂 I made this book haul on April 4 at the Oh Goodie A Book Fill-A-Bag sale. I usually go in with the first group, but I guess this was a special day because arriving at 6:30 a.m. wasn’t early enough this time 💀
I didn’t get some of the main books I wanted, but I still found some really good ones! 📖 I’ll see if I can wake up even earlier next time 😬
What’s the earliest you’ve ever woken up for a book sale or special event?

Attending book sales like the Oh Goodie A Book Fill-A-Bag sale can be a thrilling yet competitive experience. Many avid readers know that arriving early is key to scoring the best finds, yet sometimes even 6:30 a.m. isn’t early enough! I’ve learned from personal experience that planning ahead — such as setting multiple alarms or heading straight from a night shift — really helps to beat the crowds. Even if you miss out on your top picks, there’s always a chance to find hidden gems. I found that browsing through the selections with an open mind often leads to unexpected treasures that turn out to be some of my favorite reads. Book sales also offer a wonderful opportunity to support local bookstores and connect with fellow bibliophiles. An important tip: bring a reusable bag for all your finds, and wear comfortable shoes since you may be walking or standing for a while. Don’t let early mornings discourage you; instead, embrace the excitement and share stories with other book lovers. Over time, these outings become not just about books but about the experience and community. What’s your earliest or most memorable early-morning book shopping experience? Sharing tips and stories can make these events even more enjoyable!
