Ingredients:
•2 medium sweet potatoes (orange variety works best)
•Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil)
•Salt, to taste
•Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne, black pepper
Flavor Ideas:
•Sweet & Salty: Sea salt + a pinch of cinnamon + sugar
•Spicy: Smoked paprika + cayenne
•Savory: Garlic powder + black pepper
Instructions:
Step 1: Prep the Potatoes
•Peel the sweet potatoes (or leave skin on if you prefer rustic chips).
•Slice them very thin—a mandoline slicer work best for even thickness.
•Soak the slices in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
•Drain and pat them completely dry with paper towels.

Step 2: Frying Method (for super crispy chips)
1.Heat oil in a deep pan to 325–350°F (165–175°C).
2.Fry in small batches so they don’t overcrowd the pan.
3.Fry for 2–3 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crisp and golden.
4.Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a paper towel-lined wire rack.
5.Immediately sprinkle with salt and any other desired seasoning.
(Alternate): Baking Method
1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.Toss slices in 1–2 tbsp of oil and spread in a single layer on parchment-lined baking sheets.
3.Bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
4.Watch closely—chips can burn quickly once they start to brown.
5.Cool on a wire rack to let them crisp up.
