Losing Weight
07.25.26
Today was my big cheat day and reward for accomplishing so much this week mentally and physically.
While running errands, I got a Sprite zero add sugar-free peach for 0 cal
For lunch and dinner I did get McDonald’s. The picture that is shown is what I got for lunch and dinner. I just bought it all at once so that way I didn’t have to do it twice. Even though I did get McDonald’s I made sure I stayed in my calorie budget. I ended up having 25 cal left over.
I promise I did workouts even though I did not get a picture of it. I did a 10,000 step fast walking workout which ended up being an hour long. That was the only workout I did yesterday but I did keep my body moving and I’m not gonna be too hard on myself about it.
I can’t wait to do my way in tomorrow morning and see what has happened even though I’m a little scared because I did have McDonald’s today, but we’ll see what happens!

In my experience with losing weight, allowing yourself a cheat day can be a vital mental break that helps sustain long-term commitment to your goals. For instance, I recently treated myself to McDonald's for both lunch and dinner but was careful to stay within my calorie limit, ending the day with about 25 calories to spare. This balance is key; indulging without overdoing it prevents feelings of guilt and keeps your journey sustainable. To complement this indulgence, I made sure to remain physically active by doing a 10,000-step fast walking workout, which took roughly an hour. Walking workouts are incredibly effective for boosting metabolism and improving cardiovascular health without the intensity of structured gym sessions. From personal observation, even on rest days or lighter workout days, keeping active—whether through walking errands or light exercise—makes a significant difference in maintaining progress and preventing weight plateaus. One useful tip I found helpful is planning cheat meals in advance and purchasing them all at once to avoid multiple temptations throughout the day. This approach reduces impulsive eating and helps with calorie tracking. Additionally, zero-calorie beverages like sugar-free Sprite peach flavor can be excellent allies on these days, providing flavor without adding calories. While stepping on the scale after a cheat day can be nerve-wracking, I remind myself that weight fluctuations are normal and that consistency over time is what truly counts. Sharing my journey with hashtags like #tryingtoloseweight and #weighlossdiaries has kept me motivated and connected to a supportive community facing similar challenges. Embracing both discipline and flexibility has been essential, and I encourage others to find their unique balance that works for them.
