Day 13

08.01.26

Today was a well-deserved me day. I spent the day shopping, keeping a positive energy, and just focusing on myself! It was a really good day and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

I bought this really cute pink sweat set and I’m obsessed with it!

I did not do any workouts today, but I did stay in my calorie deficit, with that being said, I do not like the real good chicken brand of chicken nuggets. They’re just really squishy and I do not like that.

Tomorrow is weigh in and I’m a little nervous, but I’m not going to be hard on myself about it. I’m very proud of myself for sticking with it for two weeks. I just know I need to get it together and get a workout routine set with the specific videos I’m going to use. Also, I’m having a really hard time with protein intake. Every time I eat something with protein I just feel like it’s not enough and when I look at the app that I use I always have more carbs than protein and I don’t understand why I don’t know if it’s something I’m doing or something. I’m not understanding, but I’m getting a little overwhelmed by it so if you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

From personal experience, allowing yourself time to recharge through activities like shopping or simply focusing on your wellbeing helps maintain a positive mindset, which is crucial when facing challenges like dietary adjustments or workout routines. A particular challenge many encounter, including myself, is balancing macronutrients—especially protein intake. The feeling that protein is insufficient despite tracking it can stem from unfamiliarity with protein-rich foods or misestimating portions. I found incorporating varied protein sources such as Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, or plant-based options can help diversify intake and improve satiety. Regarding food preferences, it’s normal not to enjoy certain brands or textures, like the squishy chicken nuggets mentioned. It’s important to find alternatives that fit both taste and nutritional goals to stay consistent. Opting for grilled chicken strips or homemade versions might offer better satisfaction. Consistency matters more than perfection. Celebrating small wins, like sticking to a calorie deficit or enjoying new outfits, helps foster a positive body transformation journey. Planning a workout routine with specific video guides can structure progress and reduce overwhelm. Lastly, engaging with supportive communities and sharing struggles openly invites advice and encouragement, which can make a tremendous difference in sustaining motivation. Remember, every step counts and self-compassion goes a long way.
