this is for the moms 🤍
between the late nights and early mornings… the planning, the packed schedules, the joyful moments, the meltdowns, the playtime, the meal prepping, the housework— all of it. i often get to the end of my day & realize i somehow haven’t sat with the Lord. i haven’t reflected on His Word or allowed Him to show me something new.
life gets busy.. & i only have one baby.
i have decided my habits in this area have to start now. they are non-negotiable. i get up every morning & wash my face & brush my teeth without fail. but what about feeding my soul… without fail?
this is something i have been reflecting on lately, & these are a few thoughts & encouragements i have been holding onto. i hope they speak to you too 🤍

As a mom, I truly resonate with the challenge of balancing the endless tasks and responsibilities with the need to nurture my own spiritual health. It’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of parenting duties, from schedules and meal prep to the joyful chaos of playtime and meltdowns. Like many moms, I often reach the end of the day feeling drained, realizing I haven’t spent quiet time in God’s Word as I hoped. One perspective that has helped me is to remember that we’re not only managing schedules — we are stewarding souls, both ours and our children’s. Feeding your soul daily isn’t a luxury or an afterthought; it’s essential. When I started treating my time with the Lord as non-negotiable—just like brushing my teeth each morning—it transformed my approach to motherhood. Incorporating scripture into everyday moments also makes a big difference. I play audio Bibles in the car and read verses during breakfast, which not only roots me but also helps my children see God’s Word as a living part of life. This practice nourishes my heart with patience, wisdom, and gentleness—qualities we all need for the tough moments of parenting. Another encouragement is to trust that even small, faithful moments count. Just five minutes with the Lord can soften my responses and steady my heart. These intimate moments with God give me clarity and strength to love generously and lead by example. Ultimately, prioritizing my relationship with God has overflowed into every other part of my life: with my spouse, children, and friends. When I start my day aligned with Him, love and clarity naturally follow, inspiring those around me. If you’re a mom struggling to find that quiet time, know that you’re not alone. It’s okay to start small and grow steadily, trusting that God will meet you where you are and help you flourish as you fulfill the beautiful calling of motherhood.
