Art vs Artist 2024

Hey creative souls! MrzPookiArtz here, and as we kick off a fresh year, I wanted to dive a little deeper than just a quick recap of my 'Art vs Artist 2024' journey. It's been a truly incredible ride reflecting on all the pieces I poured my passion into last year. While I didn't manage to whip up any specific 'Happy New Year!' drawings right at the stroke of midnight, my heart is full reflecting on the artistic growth and connections made. The 'Art vs Artist' challenge is always a fun way to glimpse the person behind the lines and colors, and for me, 2024 was a year of immense learning and creation. From the whimsical depths of #wallydarling fan art that brought so much joy, to crafting my own unique #welcomehomeoc characters, every stroke felt like a step forward. I absolutely love bringing characters from the #welcomehomearg universe to life, and exploring original concepts (my beloved #oc creations!) has been such a fulfilling process. Each piece holds a story, a moment of inspiration, and a little piece of my soul. Many of you often ask about my artistic process or what inspires me. Honestly, it comes from everywhere! Sometimes it's a mood, a snippet of a story I've encountered, or even just a captivating color palette that catches my eye. For my Welcome Home pieces, the characters themselves are just so rich with personality and charm; it's a joy to interpret them in my own unique style. And with my original characters, it's like building little worlds from scratch, one sketch at a time. I really strive to infuse a piece of myself, my unique perspective, into everything I create. It’s what makes art so personal and allows me to connect with you all on a deeper level, right? It's not just about the finished product, but the journey of creation itself. I faced my share of creative blocks last year, but pushing through them made the triumphs even sweeter. Each challenge taught me something new about my style and what I truly want to convey. Looking ahead to 2025, I'm buzzing with so many ideas! I'm planning to experiment with new mediums, perhaps even try some animation or more complex digital painting techniques I've been eyeing. You can definitely expect more fan art from realms you love, alongside a good dose of my own original characters evolving and telling new tales. My goal is to keep pushing my boundaries, sharing more of my creative process, and fostering our wonderful community.
