I'm sad...
My 32nd birthday is Thursday and I've got nothing to show for it. I've only ever had one job due to me having a Cerebral Palsy and recently going kicked off disability so I have nothing to celebrate with like all 31 of my other birthdays. I've never had a real party for my birthday. even in childhood. once my father even ruined it by making me come early to clean. I've never felt special for my day. 🤷🏽♀️ I hope next year is diff, but... I'm kinda loosing hope. I just want enough money for a bottle. $StacyHutnak is my $$app if you wanna be nice. #birthdays #boredathome #averageday #lemom8diarychallenge
Birthdays can be tough, especially when they’re a reminder of personal challenges and disappointments. For many, the milestone of turning 32 can feel weighed down by past experiences, particularly if they have not been celebrated in significant ways. Living with conditions like Cerebral Palsy can hinder career growth, leading to feelings of inadequacy and lack of fulfillment. Support from friends and family becomes crucial during tough times, even if the celebration feels muted. While it's easy to lose hope, this year can be a turning point. It’s important to reach out for support from your community, both online and offline. Connecting with those who understand your journey can provide a sense of belonging. Consider starting small, perhaps by sharing your story or organizing a modest gathering with close friends who appreciate you—not just on your birthday, but every day. Setting personal goals, even for something simple like achieving a small milestone or treating yourself to a favorite item, can help shift your perspective. Use platforms like Lemon8 to engage in conversations about mental health and birthday celebrations; there’s strength in shared experiences. Remember, while birthdays are often seen as a time to celebrate achievements, they can also be an opportunity for self-reflection and planning for a brighter future. Celebrate the small wins and embrace your uniqueness!
