How I Print Sublimation Designs in Silhouette Studio
How to Print Sublimation Designs Using Silhouette Studio (Without a Silhouette Machine!)
A lot of people think you need a Silhouette cutting machine to use Silhouette Studio. The truth is, you can use Silhouette Studio just for designing and printing your sublimation projects!
Step 1: Open Silhouette Studio and create a new document.
Step 2: Set your page size to match your sublimation paper.
Step 3: Import your PNG, SVG, or sublimation design.
Step 4: Resize and arrange your designs to maximize your paper space.
Step 5: Leave your design unmirrored in Silhouette Studio if you prefer to mirror during printing.
Step 6: Click File → Print and open your printer settings.
Step 7: Turn on Mirror Image/Flip Horizontal in your printer settings before printing.
Step 8: Make sure you have the correct paper size and paper set to Premium Presentation Matte.
✨ Step 9: Print and press your design according to your blank’s recommended time and temperature.
💡 Pro Tip: Mirroring in your printer settings can help prevent accidentally double-mirroring your designs, especially when working with text-heavy sublimation projects.
