How to Overcome Gym Anxiety

A lot of times the hardest part of working out is convincing yourself to get to the gym. If going to the gym makes you nervous try

✨Ask for a Tour✨

Many gyms offer a tour/fit session to potential members, so you can determine if you want to get a membership. Someone from the staff will walk you around the gym, and knowing where things are/how to use the equipment will help you not feel so new.

✨Go in with a plan✨

Look up a few exercises you want to try, and have an idea of how to structure your workout. Planning ahead helps you be more productive workout, and doesn’t leave time for you to feel awkward because you’re going from one thing to the next.

✨Wear something that makes you feel cute✨

I’m a firm believer in “look good, feel good, do good.” Whether it’s a hoodie and sweats or a new set, being comfortable in what you’re wearing goes a long way in making you feel better at the gym.

✨Bring a Buddy✨

There’s safety in numbers. If you have a friend who is also getting into fitness, having them with you can make you feel supported.

✨Remember you’re your own worst critic✨

Everyone at the gym is worried about themselves just like you are. Go do your thing 🫶🏻
