Ranking Dove’s NEW Holiday Scents (One Was Actually Worth Buying!)
Dove girlies… I fear we need to talk. 😭🧴
I was SO excited when I spotted Dove’s new Holiday Treats collection at Walmart. As someone who’s usually loyal to Dove body wash, I just knew I was about to find a new favorite.
Let’s just say… my expectations were a little higher than reality. 👀
✨ My Honest Ranking
🥇 #1 Winter Berry ⭐ 9/10
The biggest surprise! I don’t usually reach for berry scents, but this one smelled fresh, slightly sweet, and the most “winter” out of the collection. If I had to recommend one, this would be it.
🥈 #2 Sugar Cookie ⭐ 7/10
It smells exactly like you’d expect—a sweet, bakery-style scent. It wasn’t bad at all, but I’m just not a sugar cookie girl.
🥉 #3 Cinnamon Pumpkin ⭐ 6/10
I wanted to love this one because I’ve had amazing pumpkin candles and perfumes before. Unfortunately, this one just didn’t give me that cozy fall feeling.
🚫 #4 Pecan Crunch ⭐ 2/10
This one was an easy pass for me. It smelled like pecans… but not in a way I wanted lingering on my skin.
🌲 The Plot Twist
The scent that almost came home with me wasn’t even part of the Holiday Treats collection.
Cedarwood + Crushed Mint smelled AMAZING.
It was clean, fresh, and expensive-smelling. My only hesitation was that it leaned a little masculine to me, so I wasn’t sure if it was meant to be unisex.
Has anyone actually used this one? I’d love to know how it wears on the skin!
🛒 What I Actually Bought
Instead of trying one of the holiday scents, I went back to one of my all-time favorites:
🤎 Dove Pampering Shea Butter & Vanilla
Sometimes the classics just don’t miss.
Have you smelled these yet? Which one would you try—or do you think Dove missed the mark this year?

Having tried several Dove body washes myself, I really appreciate when a brand brings out limited edition scents for the holidays—it's a fun way to experience seasonal fragrances beyond the usual staples. What resonated with me from this review is the standout Winter Berry scent scoring a solid 9/10, which aligns well with my own experience that berry and fruity scents can feel fresh and festive during colder months. The mention of Cedarwood + Crushed Mint as a clean and somewhat masculine scent that smells expensive intrigued me. In my experience, mint-infused body washes provide a refreshing burst and combined with cedarwood’s earthy, woodsy notes, it creates a versatile aroma that many find unisex and invigorating, especially during winter when you want something uplifting yet subtle. I also empathize with the hesitation around sweeter, bakery-type scents like Sugar Cookie and Pecan Crunch. Such gourmand fragrances can be polarizing—a sugar cookie scent might delight some but feel overly sweet or cloying to others, and nutty notes like pecan sometimes don’t translate well into body washes for those who prefer fresher scents. The classic Dove Pampering Shea Butter & Vanilla being a fallback purchase is a testament to how tried-and-true favorites remain comforting and reliably pleasant amidst seasonal experiments. For anyone considering the holiday collection, I'd suggest trying the Winter Berry and Cedarwood + Crushed Mint options first based on this experience. Overall, seasonal Dove collections offer a way to switch up your daily routine and tap into holiday cheer with scents that can evoke cozy and festive feelings. If you enjoy sampling body washes, it's worth exploring these limited editions but also sticking with classics when you find a scent that truly suits your personal style and mood.
