This aids in distinguishing between what requires immediate attention and what can be planned for later. Another technique, the **Pomodoro Technique**, encourages focus by breaking work into intervals, typically 25 minutes, followed by a short break. After completing four intervals, a longer break is taken. This strategy not only promotes sustained attention but also reduces burnout, making study sessions more productive. Additionally, utilizing a planner or a digital calendar allows students to keep track of due dates and events, ensuring they remain organized and prepared. Equally important is the need for adequate sleep. Research shows a direct link between sufficient sleep and improved cognitive function, retention, and overall mental health. Students should aim for 7 to 9 hours of restful sleep each night to optimize their performance. Finally, learning to say no is a valuable skill. Balancing social life with academic responsibilities is challenging; communicating openly with friends about priorities allows students to enjoy leisure time guilt-free, once their homework is completed.
