vacation recap
our annual birthday trip back to sarasota✨
the past 4 years we’ve celebrated my birthday in sarasota with family and friends and it’s so special to see our family grow every year! the first time we celebrated my birthday there I was turning 23, nate and I were newly engaged and we went out bar hopping with friends. fast forward 4 years later, i’m 27 (tomorrow hehe) nate and I have been married for 3 years, we have two little boys and a sweet baby girl on the way 🤍
Reflecting on annual trips like these reminds me how important it is to create lasting family traditions. Sarasota, with its beautiful Siesta Key beaches and relaxing pool days, offers the perfect backdrop for family memories that evolve over time. I can relate to the excitement of watching my children grow—those little moments like your big guy saying he has "crabs on his shorts" or the sweet transition of a little sibling being promoted to big brother truly capture the essence of family life. Vacationing with kids definitely requires flexibility and a bit of humor. Balancing restful beach naps with playful poolside lounging gives everyone a chance to recharge and enjoy themselves. Birthdays during these trips feel extra special because the setting enhances the celebration—from late-night outings in your twenties to cherishing quiet moments with a growing family. What I appreciate most is how these trips reflect personal growth alongside family milestones. Whether it's a newly engaged couple or parents welcoming another baby, Sarasota remains a charming constant. If you're planning a family vacation or a birthday getaway, consider incorporating local highlights like beach days at Siesta Key and relaxing poolside afternoons to make the occasion memorable. It's these shared experiences that deepen bonds and create stories to treasure for years to come.
