🥦 TFL Roasted-Flavor Broccoli Crunch (Dehydrated Snack Edition)

You can use any fresh broccoli you like! I grabbed a broccoli bouquet straight from the produce section — stems, florets, and all.

🧼 Prep Steps

1. Inspect & trim: Remove any dark, soft, or over-ripe spots from the florets and stalks.

2. Cut it down: Slice stems into broccoli sticks and cut large florets in halves or thirds to stretch the batch and dry more evenly.

3. Rinse & pat dry to remove debris or loose leaves.

🍋 Pre-Treat

1. Mix apple cider vinegar + lemon juice (about 1–2 tbsp each) in a bowl of cool water.

2. Soak the broccoli pieces for 3–5 minutes to brighten color, boost flavor, and slow oxidation.

3. Drain and lightly air-dry for a few minutes on a towel.

🌿 Preserve & Load

1. Lightly mist with Mrs. Wages Fruit & Vegetable Preserver Spray (optional but helpful for color and shelf life).

2. Arrange pieces evenly on dehydrator trays — don’t overcrowd.

🔥 Dehydrate

• Temp: 130–135 °F

• Time: ~6 hours (check at 5).

• Broccoli should be crisp and snappy, not soft or bendy.

• If still flexible, continue 2–3 more hours until you reach your perfect crunch.

🧊 Cool & Store

1. Once dehydrator is off, let broccoli sit 30 minutes to finish air-drying.

2. Make sure pieces are completely dry before sealing.

3. Store in mason jars or airtight bags. Optional: add a moisture absorber.

4. Keep in a dark, cool place for the freshest flavor and crunch.

✨ TFL Notes

• The ACV-lemon blend gives a light “roasted” tang without oil.

• Perfect for snack packs, salads, or as a crunchy side.

• Bonus: use the stems for “Broccoli Sticks” — crisp, savory, and satisfying!
