Need Temporary Shelter
Hey there everyone I recently started a GoFundMe because I need to temporarily leave my apartment due to water damage caused by a fire sprinkler system that accidentally activated. This incident has disrupted my life significantly, and I am doing my best to manage the situation for myself and my three pets—two dogs and a cat—that mean everything to me. Ensuring we all have a safe and comfortable place to stay is my top priority at this moment.
Since the photos don’t capture the full extent of the water damage from the sprinkler, it’s clear that the destruction is much worse than initially anticipated, rendering my apartment temporarily uninhabitable.
The funds raised will be used to secure a short-term rental or booking through Airbnb, providing a stable and comfortable environment for us while repairs are underway. Additionally, the support will help cover expenses for groceries, essential personal items such as toiletries and cleaning supplies, and transportation costs through Lyft and Waymo, as I currently do not own a vehicle. I have already contacted my renter's insurance provider to file claims for water and property damage, as well as for loss of use of the apartment. However, these claims will take some time to process.
