How much I pump in a day 6 weeks postpartum

I’m 6 weeks postpartum and this is consistently how much I pump in a day. My daughter is breastfed and formula fed and I pump. This is a day of no breastfeeding and I still only pumped 10.5 ounces. It is an improvement from a week ago. A week ago I was barely able to pump 8 ounces. And the only difference I made was breastfeeding more often!

Edit: I’m not looking for advice, just wanted to share. I can promise you that any tips or advice you can give me I have probably already tried 😅 but thank you!

... Read moreBreastfeeding and pumping can be crucial for new mothers navigating their postpartum journeys. At six weeks after giving birth, changes in milk supply can occur due to various factors, including stress, hydration, and breastfeeding frequency. Each mother's journey is unique, but tips such as ensuring milk flow with proper latching and frequency can make a difference. New parents exploring breastfeeding and pumping may encounter challenges, especially regarding supply levels. Utilizing a breast pump can alleviate some of these concerns and help maintain a stable milk supply. For instance, researching different pump types to find one that suits your needs can be beneficial. Additionally, keeping records of daily pumping amounts can offer insights into supply trends, allowing mothers to adjust their routines as necessary. Support groups, whether online or within the community, can also provide vital encouragement and share experiences. Emphasizing the importance of mental well-being during this period is crucial; feeling emotionally supported can significantly impact both milk supply and overall satisfaction with breastfeeding. Don't hesitate to reach out to professional consultants for personalized guidance tailored to your unique situation. Remember, every mother’s experience is valid and contributes to a better understanding of the complex world of postpartum breastfeeding and pumping.
