“ But the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
“ do not fear therefore; you are a more value than many sparrows.
“ Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father, who is in heaven.
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
“ for I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
“And ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’
“He who loves father or mother more than Me it’s not worthy of Me.
“And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
“He who finds his life will lose it, and he will lose his life for my sake will find it.
“He who receives you receives, Me and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
“He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
“And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.” #godfearingwoman #lovenoonemore #jesusiscomingsoon #obedience #lovejesus
Reflecting on Matthew 10:30-42, I’ve found deep reassurance in the reminder that "the very hairs on your head are all numbered." This verse illustrates the incredible personal care that God has for each of us, which helped me during times of anxiety and doubt. Knowing that I am valued even more than many sparrows gave me comfort and strength to face life’s challenges. One challenging part of this passage is the truth that following Jesus may lead to conflict, even within families. From my experience, choosing to live by Christ's teachings sometimes brings misunderstandings and opposition, yet it has also deepened my faith and my resolve. The metaphor of taking up one's cross struck me—it's a daily commitment to embrace sacrifice and prioritize obedience to Jesus above all else. What stands out especially is the promise that whoever confesses Christ before others will be recognized by Him before God the Father. This encouraged me to openly share my faith without fear, knowing that such courage is rewarded. The passage also speaks about receiving prophets and righteous individuals and even simple acts of kindness like giving a cup of cold water in Jesus’ name—teaching that every small deed matters in the kingdom of God. In practical terms, I've seen that living according to these values fosters genuine community and purpose. It’s not about superficial peace but a transformative peace that sometimes requires standing firm against opposition. Yet, the ultimate reward is finding life through Jesus—a life filled with hope beyond worldly struggles. Glory Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus for this Word that calls us to love unwaveringly, obey faithfully, and serve humbly, trusting that no effort in Your name is ever lost.
