Binge Worthy Comfort Shows Part 5

Let’s talk comfort shows… because THIS one right here? This is home.

The Cosby Show is my absolute favorite show.

And can’t nobody make me not love it. Argue with your mammy, don’t argue with me 😌

The Huxtables showed us something different.

They showed us Black excellence in a way that wasn’t rooted in struggle.

They showed us a family that was educated, loving, cultured, and STILL human.

Because let’s be clear… Black doesn’t look just one way.

We are diverse. We are layered. We are art, education, jazz, family, laughter, and love.

And this show gave us ALL of that.

They introduced us to things…

Food, culture, music, history…

Listen, when Cliff said beef Wellington, I needed to know what that was IMMEDIATELY 😂

But beyond all of that… this show is personal for me.

This is something I watched every Thursday night with my dad.

That was our time.

And growing up, the jokes hit different.

The lessons hit different.

Everything meant more the older I got.

And now? I get to watch it with my kids.

Same feeling. Same comfort. Same love.

That’s what makes it timeless.

This will forever be my number one comfort show 🤎

Now I gotta ask…

👉🏾 Did you grow up watching The Cosby Show?

👉🏾 What episode or moment will ALWAYS stay with you?

Also… don’t forget 👇🏾
